Map of proposed facilities changes

This interactive map, created by Michelle Schmitt in conjunction with PlanPhilly, shows schools affected by proposed facilities changes. The District proposed a package of school closings, grade reconfigurations, and other changes to reduce excess capacity in the District by 14,000 seats.

With the map you can view an overlay of City Council districts, as well as see details for schools that have been recommended to close or undergo grade reconfigurations.

Earlier this year, we also created a map of all District facilities as part of our edition on school closings.

We're working on developing additional ways to help you access and digest data and other District info, so please let us know if you have suggestions on how to improve the map or other data we could map or add to this map. Also, please leave a comment or email us if you find any errors on the map. Thanks for your help in making these improvements possible.
