Saturday: Closings discussed at Southern




The first of four District-run community meetings this month to discuss the facilities master plan was Saturday morning from 10 to noon at South Philadelphia High School, 2101 S. Broad St.

The meeting was livestreamed by the District.

Superintendent Hite and District officials presented the closings plan, and there was  a lengthy period for the public to testify.

Upcoming meetings:

  • Monday, Dec. 17, 6-8 p.m.
    Sayre High School - 5800 Walnut St. 
  • Tuesday, Dec. 18, 6-8 p.m.
    Edison High School - 151 W. Luzerne St.
  • Wednesday, Dec. 19, 6-8 p.m.
    Martin Luther King High School - 6100 Stenton Ave.
