Listen: What impact will school closings have on students' safety?

Ben Herold will be on WHYY's Radio Times Wednesday morning at 10 a.m., talking about the impact that school closures could have on student safety, which is the subject of his cover story from the Notebook's latest print edition. What happens if longstanding rivalries between schools are stoked by the potential merger of two schools like Germantown High and Martin Luther King High?

Herold will be discussing gang violence and school safety along with Karyn Lynch, the District's head of student services, and Malik Aziz, a trainer and gang specialist with the National Gang Crime Research Center.
