SRC roundtable to focus on how children learn
by thenotebook on Nov 13 2012 Posted in Latest news
"How Children Learn - Implications for Classrooms and Communities" is the topic of discussion for tonight's School Reform Commission meeting. The keynote speaker will be David Meketon, a research coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania's Positive Psychology Center and a longtime District teacher.
The meeting will be this month's Strategy, Policy and Priorities meeting, so the format will be a roundtable. Those who wish to take part in the discussion are not required to register to speak in advance. The SRC only asks that participants stay on topic.
Watch the meeting live, between 6 and 8 p.m., using the stream above, or on PSTV Comcast Channel 52 or Verizon Fios Channel 20.

Until massive poverty and gross racism are factored into the equation, nothing will change for the better.
