For a laugh-out-loud take on the ridiculousness of the high-profile education 'deformers' click on the link to Diane Ravitch's blog (See the Notebook's "Notes from the news, March 15"). Then, forward this link to every teacher, parent, school community member, and politician in your address book. The emperor has no clothes, and we need to start exposing him before it's too late.

it's always great when a professional spectator chooses to act like an expert. she's got less classroom experience than a 2012 tfa corps member. if someone with zero in school experience like her, who couldn't find the blackboard in a classroom, wrote something you didn't agree with, you'd be quick to point that out. where did her kids go to school? not anywhere like the schools you're trying to keep open. diane is clear evidence of just how desperate you've become. so laugh on, rome is burning.

The blog post wasn't written by Ravich. It was written by John J. Viall Glendale, who was a teacher for 33 years.

Me thinks that thou protests before doing your research.

You've read the fable, "The Tortoise and the Hare," no doubt. Keep underestimating 'us.'

you missed the point. nobody would have seen this dribble until it was associated with lady di, the new princess of the status quo. you will trash michelle rhee for being a carpetbagger in the same sentence you praise her? that's hypocrisy. as for mister joe, I choose to adhere to the terms of the socolar armistice and provide no response.
