If you want your child to be a great performer, send them to CAPA. If you want them to have a great education, send them somewhere ELSE

Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 08/15/2012 - 20:50.

The Arts Academy is a rigorous college prep school. It is academically very challenging and integrates the arts into the curriculum. It has a focus on 21st century tools.

This a great school ! The kids are great! The Teachers are talented! The teachers are fun and teach in such a unique way that helps the students learn! My daughter is a dance major and will graduate in two years. We are blessed she is able to attend such an awesome school :)

This school is freaky fresh to death.

Submitted by Anonymous on Sat, 04/23/2011 - 10:34.

Is this school better that CaPa on Broad street

Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 01/26/2012 - 22:31.

CAPA is very high class and to me, a little snooty. Almost all the students there want to get into a good college like Yale, it's very different from Rush. While Rush is serious, they also balance fun, creativity and individuality. So no, it isn't "better" but it depends on what you want.

Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 05/26/2011 - 11:51.

I really want to go to this school but I may not be able to because of the distance

Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 11/08/2011 - 13:57.

Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 08/01/2011 - 21:15.

to go to this school, do you have to have specific grade school grades?

Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 08/09/2011 - 17:28.

Great school, but not really a college prep school in the truest sense of the term.

Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 07/24/2012 - 18:27.

this school is amazing

Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 08/24/2011 - 13:53.

Umm to go to this school you must have scored proficient or more in all your PSSA's, strong grade records (A's and B's with the exclusion of one C in a minor subject) and a good performance at your audition.

I'm an instrumental major and that's what i did to get in this school.

Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 08/15/2012 - 20:53.

what is the audition like? when do i have to do it? what year? 7th?8th? someone please tell me!!!!

Submitted by Anonymous on Sun, 09/11/2011 - 10:37.

Hi, I'm a musician and would like to go to whatever highschool that could help me build my musical career the best. I've been playing violin for 7 1/2 years, I sing, I play piano/keyboards, I play guitar, I play many other instruments, I play live shows, and I play with a rock band. I absolutley love the arts, and I already filled out an application for Creative and Performing arts. I didn't send it yet. I was just wondering, fact wise minus the opinions, which school is better, CAPA or Rush?

Submitted by Anonymous on Sun, 10/09/2011 - 15:04.

Rush is deffinetly better!

Submitted by Anonymous on Sun, 09/11/2011 - 10:38.

Whats better, this or CAPA for a violin major?

Submitted by Anonymous on Sun, 10/09/2011 - 15:06.

Rush is way better than capa.

Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 05/16/2012 - 12:05.

CAPA IS NOT BETTER THAN ART ACADEMY RUSH SO LETS GET THAT STRAIGHT. THIS IS COMING FROM A SEVENTH GRADER, AND WATCH IN 2 YEARS IM GOING TO BE AT THAT SCHOOL.

how do i audition for dance???

Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 12/06/2011 - 21:48.

you audition by preparing a piece and performing it in front of the director of dance, you have to fill out an application and schedule your audition.I am a student there, and agree that Rush is amazing. It is college prep in the sense that none of the work is handed to you,at Rush, anything you learn, you learn through application more so than having your hand held through learning. I feel that the classes,,for the most part are challenging.

Submitted by Anonymous on Fri, 12/16/2011 - 18:35.

I dont attend rush yet, but am i signed up for instrumental major, am i allowed to switch to arts major?

Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 01/19/2012 - 23:28.

Probably not your freshman year. You'd have to do an audition for your new major. You'd have better luck trying to switch before sophomore year.

Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 01/17/2012 - 18:38.

i just did an audition for that school on saturday for art major, boy oh boy, that school is very lovely, and i auditioned for capa too, i'll say rush is quiet better. :D i cant get rush out of my head, its just amazing, its like heaven there lol

Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 01/19/2012 - 23:27.

I'm a Junior at Rush majoring in photography. It's challenging. Every day you're learning something new and developing skills you didn't know you had. It IS a college prep school in the truest sense of the term. Our teachers are wonderful, our curriculum is rigorous, and everyone is very friendly. Rush is much better than capa. To all the parents, you won't regret sending your kids here. It's a creative and welcoming environment. To all the kids who want to audition, do your best and don't be nervous. I hope this helped. I'll see you guys next year. (:

Is it true that children that audition from the neighbor are chosen first?

Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 03/01/2012 - 18:04.

how do u know if u get acceped? is it hard to get in?

Submitted by Anonymous on Sun, 03/11/2012 - 10:16.

i want to got into rush so bad but in my 1st and 2nd marking period my atendance was not that great but i havent missed a day in my 3rd one and dont plan to in my 4th so do you think i could still get in

Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 03/27/2012 - 15:03.

Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 03/28/2012 - 18:30.

Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 03/28/2012 - 20:44.

Letters were mailed last Friday.

Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 03/29/2012 - 18:43.

My daughter got her letter this week and was accepted...she also was thinking of Little Flower. My concern with Rush is the Academics...is it challenging..I want her to go to a good college.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 03/29/2012 - 19:48.

Send her to Little Flower, as a former member of that school's faculty, it was the best school I ever had the pleasure to teach in.

Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 08/15/2012 - 20:57.

I have gone to catholic school, and its not great. Send her to rush.
