This school has definitely went down. As a student who graduated from this school, I have witnessed the school fall slowly after principal ozzy wright retired. It has exceed the point tom where all the staff who were excellent teachers, found new positions at comprehensive high-schools then to deal with the disrespect and drama of a very disrespectful principal. They are never organized with any activities that take place, all promises will never fall through and they only strive for you to pass state test for the school to look better and receive more funding. I advise you to not make this school you priority! Your child will not receive the same experience that they deserve from a true military academy

Taking in consideration, your comment means a lot because I'm a mother of a soon to be 9th grader and she really wants to attend a military high school. Let me ask you a question, what is your current career and what positive effects did you take from attending this school?

I am a current student here and i would not recommend sending your student here. It is very unorganized and the student and staff hate attending this school EVERY DAY

I teach my son who is a senior at this school that no matter what school you go to if you want to learn then you will learn. Focusing on what others say and do will get you nowhere. The new Principal has different rules and regulations than the one before which was expected. Considering the other High schools in the neighborhood this school is still one of the best. If you plan on making it this world, get use to change because there will be a lot of it and most of it you will not like but if you can't take high school your doomed with everything that comes after. A good school starts with the parents then the staff. Just as a good Student starts at home.

I'm currently a Junior and our school is merging with Elverson and combining as one Military Academy. This school went from being the best in Philadelphia to a comprehensive high school with a military uniform, and the root of this comes from the one above, the principal. A dictator or totalitarian as some may call her, has caused nothing but hell for us cadets who attend PMA. It started in 2010, when our phys Ed teacher sgt Barret left us, for unknown reasons. We went from having PE every day, to twice a week. Next is our band that we use to have which was dismembered after the firing of Mr.Burton. To make matters worse ALL FOUR of our Army Instructors left last summer (why) ask Mrs.Randzo. Now presently we have two Army instructors who don't know a lick of JROTC, yet teaches it, similar to Mrs. Randzo absence of knowledge of the military, yet she still tries to run it. Clearly her dictatorship has come to an end via a school merge, if your looking for top notch J.R.O.T.C programs and instructors go to Florida and ask for 1st sgt and Lt. Col Speilvogel. R.I.P PMA @ Leeds
