Swenson Arts & Technology High School

Mission Statement:
Swenson Arts & Technology High School's mission is preparing students for careers, apprenticeships, and post-secondary studies by offering challenging academic and career programs in a safe, supportive learning environment. All Swenson students complete a career program major tied to industry standards with exit assessments and certifications empowering them to become lifelong learners and productive members of society.
Accredidations and Awards:
2015-16 NOCTI scores average 79% competent and advanced overall in programs of study; over 250 industry certifications issued to students in 2016-17; student internships with District Council 21, Agusta Westland, and City of Philadelphia Fleet Management; culinary, Computer Networking and Electrical scored 95% proficient or advanced; Certificate for Growth in Career and Technical Education, Pennsylvania Department of Education, 2015-16
Points of Pride:
Successful JROTC program; award-winning Girls’ Track team; students won the Science Olympiad three years in a row, 2014, 2015, and 2016; partnerships with Philadelphia Academies, Comcast, Ace Mentoring, and State Farm; dedicated faculty and staff
