Bank of America providing student leadership opportunity

If you’re a high school junior or senior passionate about community service, you might want to apply for Bank of America’s 2012 Student Leaders Program.

The program includes:

  • A paid summer internship with a nonprofit organization

  • An expenses-paid student leadership training in Washington, DC, with presentations and workshops on how nonprofits, business, and government can work together to strengthen communities.

“We are looking for high school students in Southeast Pennsylvania, specifically in Philadelphia, who are already showing signs of community service and leadership,” said Deborah O’Brien, senior vice president and market manager for corporate social responsibility at Bank of America.

Two hundred student leaders will be selected nationally, and five from the Philadelphia area. The nonprofit internships will be handled through Philadelphia Youth Network.

Bank of America is accepting applications until January 25, 2012.
